Is it permissible for the family of the house [Ahl al-Bayt] to eat from a vow, and what is its amount if permissible?

It is disliked to make a vow, but it must be fulfilled according to the intended condition. If one intended to spend it on the poor and needy who are not from his household, then this is obligatory, and it is not permissible for him or his family to eat from it. However, if the vow does not specify a particular recipient, there is no objection to the one who made the vow and his family eating from it, without specifying a certain amount for this consumption.
