How can a seventeen-year-old girl stop watching forbidden things, strengthen her relationship with Allah and her family, and maintain her prayers, for fear of not succeeding in her high school studies?

One must hasten to offer sincere repentance for abandoning prayer and watching forbidden things. Prayer is a great matter, and abandoning it is dangerous; some scholars even consider it an act of disbelief. It is the best helper in avoiding evil deeds, as Allah the Almighty says: "Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing." And as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Prayer is light." A life of faith and righteous deeds brings a good life and happiness, while sins are a cause of a constricted livelihood, as Allah the Almighty says: "But whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a constricted life." Whoever strives for the sake of Allah, Allah will guide him to His ways.
