Does a woman have the right to know what wealth her husband possesses, and is it permissible for a husband to prevent his wife from praying or to belittle her if she does not fulfill his requests, and must a wife obey her husband blindly in everything, and does he have the right to ask her to serve him in everything while he is capable of serving himself?

A wife is obliged to serve her husband with kindness, which varies according to customs. It is a partnership and a companionship based on kindness, not a relationship of dominance and subordination. It is recommended, but not obligatory, for the wife to know about her husband's finances, and vice versa. As for the husband's statement that the wife's prayer is of no benefit if she disobeys him, this is not absolutely correct. However, if the disobedience is in a mandatory obedience, then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There are three whose prayers do not ascend beyond their ears," and among them he mentioned: "A woman who spends the night while her husband is displeased with her," narrated by Al-Tirmidhi. But displeasure occurs if it is due to the wife's bad character and defiance, not if it is without any offense.
