What is the renewal that comes to the Ummah every 100 years, and how do we renew the principles of Islamic jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh), jurisprudence (Fiqh), and the objectives of Sharia (Maqasid al-Sharia) in our current era, especially considering the scarcity of scholars despite the availability of tools for ijtihad, and that university theses do not offer anything new?

The Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, informed us that Islam began as something strange and will return as something strange. However, a group from his nation will remain steadfast upon Allah’s command, renewing His religion. Renewal means reviving what has become obscure of the rulings of Sharia and Sunnah, and combating innovations. It is not limited to one aspect, but rather encompasses all facets of life, including governance, spreading knowledge, and rectifying beliefs and morals. This renewal does not necessitate being carried out by a single individual; rather, it is undertaken by the victorious group (Al-Ta'ifa Al-Mansoura), diverse in their specializations, and their gathering in one place is not a prerequisite. Renewal also includes the ability to deduce rulings from the texts of Sharia to address new developments, which demonstrates Islam’s suitability for every time and place.
