The answer

If the saved money reaches the threshold () for and a full year (hawl) has passed on it, then zakat becomes obligatory on it. Its amount is a quarter of a tenth (2.5%). What you spent from the money during the year is not subject to zakat. Two conditions must be met for zakat to be obligatory on saved money from salary: it must reach the nisab and the nisab must remain for a full year.

As for the stepmother, she is permanently forbidden for the sons of her former husband. It is permissible for her to appear before them in the same way she appears before her other mahrams, based on the saying of Allah the Almighty: "And do not marry those [women] whom your fathers married."
