Is charity from stolen money acceptable? Is it permissible to perform Istikhara prayer to recover the money? Are good deeds accepted before the full amount of stolen money is returned?

Firstly: Theft is one of the major sins, and repentance from it is obligatory. The manager's failure to keep his promise does not justify theft or continuing it.

Secondly: Strive to estimate what you stole from the company and return it to them as much as you can, for Allah Almighty says: (So fear Allah as much as you are able).

Thirdly: Complete returning what you stole, and you are not obliged to inform the employer if you fear harm or discord; for Allah is the Concealer and loves concealment. The important thing is to restore rights, repent, and seek forgiveness.

Fourthly: Good deeds, along with repentance and the restoration of rights, are accepted by Allah's permission. The commission of a major sin does not invalidate all good deeds, but repentance for one sin is not valid while persisting in another sin of the same kind.

Fifthly: It is not permissible to give stolen money as charity, because it is unlawful money that must be returned to its rightful owners. Allah is good and accepts only what is good.

Sixthly: Istikhara prayer is not legislated for returning money, because returning it is obligatory. However, Istikhara can be performed when hesitating between two methods of returning it.
