The Zabur is the Book of Allah that He revealed to His Prophet Dawud (David), peace be upon him. Dawud was sent to his people, the Children of Israel. The Zabur is a book of admonitions and wisdoms; it does not contain lawful or unlawful rulings. Allah the Almighty bestowed upon Dawud a special favor, which included prophethood, the Zabur, knowledge, strength, the subjugation of mountains, the softening of iron, and a beautiful voice.
