Is it considered an innovation (bid'ah) to revive the Henna Night with a religious gathering that includes Quran recitation and supplications in exchange for money, and what is the ruling on attending such gatherings?

Listening to songs and music is prohibited. It is not permissible to correct a mistake with another mistake. Reading the Quran and chanting supplications on the occasions mentioned include Sharia (definition) violations, such as: reading the Quran for a fee, which is forbidden by scholarly consensus. Furthermore, some supplications involve seeking help from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and exaggerating in his praise. The Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, would not approve of this, as he forbade it by saying: "Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians exaggerated in praising the son of Mary; for I am only His slave. So, call me Allah's Slave and His Messenger." It is feared that this might involve disrespecting the Holy Quran, as these occasions are prone to noise and people's distraction. It is advised to limit oneself to permissible chants accompanied by the beating of the daff, an appropriate sermon, and reading some relevant verses of the Holy Quran and their interpretation, so that the purpose is to remind people of their meanings and rulings, not merely recitation.
