Is the Hadith: "Three there are whose supplication is not accepted: he who lends money to someone without writing a contract, he who entrusts his money to fools, and he who has an ill-mannered wife and does not divorce her" a sufficient justification for a man to divorce his Christian wife of ill manners, especially given his knowledge that she used to tell their young children what transpired between them?

A man should advise his ill-mannered wife, admonish her, and remind her of God. If she does not respond, he should abandon her in bed. If she still does not respond, he should strike her, based on the verse: "As for those [wives] from whom you fear defiance, admonish them, forsake them in beds, and strike them. But if they obey you, seek no means against them." If she does not respond after being struck, he may divorce her. This gradual approach is the prescribed method. However, if he divorces her without following this progression, his divorce is valid, and there is no blame upon him.
