Is the speech of the righteous predecessors (Salaf) regarding creed definitive or presumptive, and is there evidence for it, and why wouldn't the truth be with others as long as there is no evidence?

The issues of creed addressed by the Salaf scholars are based on evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah, and it is not correct to say that there is no evidence for them. These issues vary in the strength and clarity of their evidence, but what the Salaf agreed upon in creed is unequivocally true. As for the few minor differences in creed, they are permissible and close.
