Is the speech of the righteous predecessors (Salaf) regarding creed definitive or presumptive, and is there evidence for it, and why wouldn't the truth be with others as long as there is no evidence?

These issues vary in the strength and clarity of their evidence, but what the Salaf agreed upon in creed is unequivocally true. As for the few minor differences in creed, they are permissible and close.
