What is the response to Taqi al-Din al-Nabhani's statement that a person's voluntary actions are not subject to divine decree (al-Qada'), and that guidance (al-Hidayah) and misguidance (al-Dalal) are from human action, not from God, and what is the ruling on one who believes this and advocates for it?

These corrupt sayings stem from the doctrines of the people of desires and innovations. The scholars have refuted them with clear verses from the Book of Allah the Almighty, among them His saying: "And Allah created you and that which you do" (37:96), and "Indeed, all things We created with predestination" (54:49), and "And you do not will except that Allah wills" (81:29).

Reward and punishment are based on the servant's actions, which they perform by their own choice. Allah has shown His servants the path of good and evil and left them the choice, as in His saying: "And We guided him to the two highways" (90:10), and "And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness" (91:8).

The servant's will is subordinate to the will of Allah the Almighty, for the Creator of the cause is the Creator of the effect. We advise you to fear Allah and to refrain from delving into such matters, as they may lead to deviation and misguidance.
