Aqiqa is a according to the preponderant opinion. It is permissible for one who was not offered Aqiqa to perform it for themselves after reaching adulthood. It is better for a daughter whose father performed Aqiqa for her younger sisters to have a good opinion of her father, believing that he also performed Aqiqa for her, and to dismiss any doubt in that regard.
