Is it permissible for a wife to say to her husband, "You are my Lord" or "I worship you," intending obedience and familial guardianship, and does the obligatory obedience in Islam mean worship?

It is not permissible for a wife to say to her husband: "You are my Lord" or "I worship you," even if she means that he is the head of her family or that she obeys him. This is because such phrases constitute ill manners towards Allah. If Islamic law has prohibited saying "What Allah wills and so-and-so wills," and has forbidden phrases that associate others with Allah in reliance or worship, then the aforementioned phrases are even worse in terms of ill manners towards Allah. A Muslim must restrict themselves to what Islamic law has permitted.
