What is the religious ruling on a father who does not eat with his children?

The default is that it is permissible to eat alone or in a group, based on the Almighty's saying: {There is no blame upon you whether you eat together or separately}. However, it is a sign of good manners for a person not to deliberately eat alone, especially with family and guests. It was the inherited custom of the Arabs, from Abraham, that none of them would eat alone. Yet, the verse permitted eating alone after the Arabs had considered it forbidden, so there is no harm if a man chooses to eat by himself.
