What are the pure entities?

The fundamental principle concerning all things is purity, unless their impurity is proven by a legal (Shari'ah) دليل. All inanimate objects are pure. An inanimate object is any body that life has not entered, and that has not separated from a living being, except for intoxicants. This includes all parts of the earth and what originates from it. Among the pure substances are animals slaughtered according to Islamic law, and the carcasses of fish and locusts.
