Is there anything mentioned in the Shariah that indicates the naming of Allah before killing harmful creatures such as geckos and cockroaches, for fear of harm from the jinn, and when throwing stones at night, and when pouring hot water, and when operating various devices?

The fatwas did not address specific texts, but general texts were reported regarding the necessity of seeking protection from Satan through the remembrance of Allah, for Satan may be present with a person in all their affairs. The remembrance of Allah is the strong fortress against Satan. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded covering vessels and closing doors while mentioning Allah's name over them at nightfall, because Satan does not open a closed door over which Allah's name has been mentioned.

Some scholars mentioned that jinn are hidden from sight, and a person may unintentionally harm them, causing them to bear grudges and harm the person, or even possess them or kill the possessed out of revenge.

The command to kill geckos (wazagh) has been established, and they were described as "fawasiq" (corrupt creatures), because they are harmful like other harmful fawasiq, and whoever kills them earns good deeds.
