What is the ruling on establishing a foreign channel that publishes information about dogs, such as "Top 10 Strongest Dogs," and details about their types, features, and drawbacks?
It is permissible to create a channel about dogs, but a Muslim should not do so. Islamic law has discouraged dogs and prohibited their sale, and condemned keeping them without a valid purpose. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Were it not that dogs are a nation among nations, I would have commanded their killing. So kill every completely black one among them. And no household keeps a dog but that a qirat is deducted from their deeds every day, except for a hunting dog, or a farming dog, or a sheepdog."
Occupying oneself with dogs and their news is considered among the trivial matters that Allah dislikes, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah loves high and noble matters, and dislikes their trivialities."
