What should a man do whom Allah has blessed with a beard, and he wishes to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while his wife demands that he shave it off and denies him his conjugal rights, causing him temptation and a difficult marital life?

Shaving the beard is forbidden according to the majority of scholars. A believing wife must help her husband adhere to the شرع (Islamic law), and it is not permissible for her to get angry or order him to commit a sin, such as shaving his beard. The matter worsens if she abstains from obeying her husband for this reason, especially in bed.

You must explain to her the ruling on the beard, the obligation of obeying her husband, and the prohibition of a wife abstaining without a valid excuse, and that such an act incurs لعن (curse). If she obeys you, then good; otherwise, she is disobedient (ناشز), and you can threaten her with marriage to another woman if she does not restore your chastity.
