Divorce is the last resort, and one should not hasten to it except after exhausting all means of reconciliation. Therefore, advise your wife and repeatedly admonish her to repent from her mistakes, especially abandoning prayer, for abandoning it is a great sin. If she does not respond and insists on abandoning prayer, then it is preferable that you divorce her. Some scholars even went as far as to say that it is obligatory to divorce her, because she would be neglecting the rights of Allah Almighty.
