Is the word "مولود" (mawlood) feminized with the feminine letter taa (ة) if the subject is female, or is it used for both masculine and feminine?

The general rule is that the word "mawlood" (مولود) without the 'taa' (ة) is for the male, and "mawloodah" (مولودة) with the 'taa' is for the female. However, the word "mawlood" (مولود) may encompass both male and female by way of generalization, as in the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "There is no mawlood (newborn) among the Children of Adam but is born upon the fitra (natural disposition)," and his saying: "There is no mawlood but Satan pricks him in the side of his flank, except for Jesus and his mother."
