How are clothes purified if a few drops of urine, madhy, or wady fall on them, whether inner or outer garments, especially if the exact locations of the drops are unknown or if alternative clothes are scarce? And does wiping with the hand or reciting the Shahada purify them?

Impurity is not removed from clothes or the body except with water, according to the majority of scholars. Washing with liquids or wiping with solids is not sufficient.

If the location of the impurity on the garment is unknown, the entire garment must be washed.

A small amount of impurity is not pardoned, except for that which is difficult to guard against.

Whoever finds only an impure garment should pray in it and repeat the prayer when a pure garment becomes available. If he does not repeat it, there is no blame upon him.
