Does fondling one's wife, which leads to seminal emission without intercourse, constitute a breach of an oath not to engage in intercourse, or does the condition remain applicable to intended intercourse? And is the husband sinful for withholding himself from his wife with the intention of disciplining her and teaching her patience?

The mere emission of semen when caressing the wife is not considered intercourse that would make the husband break his oath, nor is there any sin upon him for swearing to abstain from intercourse for a month, as long as this is a disciplinary measure for her refusal to respond to his call to bed. It is obligatory for the wife to respond to her husband's call to bed unless she has a valid excuse. If she abandons her defiance (nushuz), then it is not permissible for the husband to refrain from intercourse with her without a valid excuse.
