What is the ruling on Muslims fasting in Northern Europe for 18 hours or more, where the white twilight does not disappear, and their daily lives are affected, and can they fast according to the timing of Makkah Al-Mukarramah or Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah?

Religious obligations do not fall away due to their difficulty. Some of them are arduous so that Allah may distinguish the wicked from the good, and the reward is commensurate with the hardship. It is not permissible to be audacious in issuing fatwas; rather, one must be meticulous and follow the Sharia evidence. The hadith about the Dajjal does not apply to ordinary days of twenty-four hours. The duty of Muslims in lands with long or short days is to act according to the Sharia times for fasting and prayer. Whoever has an excuse is permitted to break their fast.
