Is it permissible for a woman to teach in the mosque if no other places or men are available for teaching?

It is permissible for a woman to teach women and girls in the mosque if they are in an isolated place that does not cause temptation for men or disturb those praying. This is the view held by Al-Albani and Ibn Baz. Al-Albani's prohibition of it was due to women occupying the mosque or their voices being heard, whereas Ibn Baz permitted men to hear their voices if it was for the purpose of learning and did not cause temptation. As for the claim that it is an innovation, the response to that is that the Muslims' need for lessons in mosques has greatly increased in recent times due to the small size of homes.
