What is the ruling on marrying with money sourced from usurious interest from a usurious bank?
It is not permissible to deposit money in an interest-based bank except in cases of extreme necessity, such as the absence of an Islamic bank. In such a case, only a current account should be used, and usurious interest must be disposed of by giving it to the poor and needy. Accordingly, it is not permissible for your father to benefit from usurious interest to prepare for your wedding. Rather, he should prepare for you only from lawful capital. Whatever he spent from usurious interest remains a debt upon him until he pays it to those who are entitled to it.
