Are there any proofs that provisions are distributed at dawn, or that there is a connection between the dawn prayer or time and provisions?
The narrated from Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) regarding the division of provisions between dawn and sunrise is weak.
However, there is a connection between sustenance (rizq) and early morning (bukoor); it is authentically reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) supplicated: "O Allah, bless my nation in its early mornings." The Prophet used to send out detachments and armies at the beginning of the day. The Companion Sakhr Al-Ghamidi acted upon this guidance and would send out his trade early in the morning, becoming wealthy and prosperous.
Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen clarified that the blessing of the early morning manifests in work, and that if a person starts their day from its beginning, they will find blessing in their work, which many miss by sleeping until forenoon.
