ما هي موانع الزواج الشرعية؟

There are many impediments to marriage, some permanent and some temporary. These include: being unmarriageable due to lineage, suckling, or affinity; the woman being already married; the difference in religion between the spouses, except for the marriage of a Muslim man to a chaste woman of the People of the Book; the woman being in her iddah (waiting period); one of the spouses being in a state of ihram for Hajj or Umrah; an irrevocably divorced woman (bainunah kubra) who is not permissible for her husband unless she marries another man; and marrying a fifth wife for someone who already has four wives.
