Does the circular movement of birds, animals, and fish portend an event or is it one of the signs of the Hour?

There is no Shari (Islamic legal) evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah that links the circling of animals to the proximity of the Hour (Day of Judgment) or as a sign of earthquakes and volcanoes. The Hour will not commence until after signs and portents mentioned in the Shari texts. Furthermore, scientists have not scientifically proven this phenomenon. Moreover, this circling is not a consistent sign in all herds; rather, these are individual cases. A Muslim must not force an interpretation of such incidents without knowledge, for Allah, the Exalted, says: ﴿And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight, and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.﴾ (Qur'an 17:36). A Muslim's duty is to rectify himself and invite others [to goodness], for calamities befall due to the proliferation of corruption and evil.
