What is the share of the heirs from a father who passed away and left behind three sons, a daughter, and daughters of a daughter, and do the daughters of the daughter inherit?

The daughters of the daughter do not inherit because they are from the 'dhawi al-arham' (relations by kinship), and the rule of inheritance is that anyone who is connected to the deceased through a female does not inherit, except for uterine brothers (brothers from the mother's side).

If someone dies leaving three sons and one daughter only, then all their wealth belongs to them. It is divided such that the male receives the share of two females, according to the Almighty's saying: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." The inheritance is divided into seven shares: each son receives two shares, and the daughter receives one share.

The matter of inheritances is serious and complex. A mere fatwa (religious edict) is not sufficient; rather, it must be referred to the Sharia courts for investigation and to ascertain if there are other heirs, wills, or debts that take precedence over the rights of the heirs.
