What is the meaning of "birds of Paradise"? And are there real birds in Paradise?

It is established that there will be birds in Paradise, and the people of Paradise will eat from their flesh. The exegetes have expounded upon this extensively when interpreting the verse: "And the flesh of fowl from whatever they desire" (56:21). It is also mentioned in the Hadith that birds with necks like those of camels will come to the Kawthar. Abu Bakr said, "O Messenger of Allah, they are graceful!" He replied, "Those who eat them will be more graceful than them."
