Does the Prophetic narration: "Abandoning a Muslim for a year is like shedding his blood" apply to someone who has abandoned a close female friend who is harming her reputation, damaging her in her religious and worldly affairs, and affecting her psychological and physical health? It is permissible to abandon a female friend if her companionship causes harm in religious or worldly matters. This abandonment is sanctioned for the sake of benefit and has no specific time limit. It is not the blameworthy abandonment mentioned in the noble Hadith: "Whoever abandons his brother for a year is like one who has shed his blood," as this Hadith applies to abandonment without a valid reason. It is preferable to advise her first, and if she insists on her error, then abandoning her is permissible.

As for aversion to hearing the Quran, its origin lies in the heart's preoccupation with desires, neglect of pondering its verses, and infrequent recitation. The matter may even reach a point of disgust at hearing the word of Allah.

Signs of Allah's wrath upon a servant include Him bestowing blessings upon him while depriving him of gratitude for them, and his committing sins. However, this wrath is lifted through repentance.
