Are old, unclaimed bills from Saudi Telecom Company considered a debt that must be paid, or is one acquitted of liability for them?
The prohibits consuming people's wealth unjustly, as stated in Allah's words: "O you who have believed, do not consume one another's wealth unjustly" and "And do not consume one another's wealth unjustly." The Prophet (peace be upon him) also emphasized the sanctity of wealth by saying: "Indeed, your blood, your wealth, and your honor are sacred among you." Therefore, it is not permissible to resort to deception to avoid paying bills, because that constitutes consuming people's wealth unjustly, and because a Muslim does not truly believe until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself. Rights must be rendered to their owners in this world, otherwise they will be rendered on the Day of Judgment. If you are unable to find the bills, you must contact the company and inquire about them.
