There is no harm in men and women participating in social media forums, provided they adhere to Islamic guidelines. The content should not violate Sharia and should be accessible to all. Private spaces, such as one-on-one chats, are prohibited. There is no difference in this ruling between a close female relative and a non-relative, as one cannot be sure that Satan will not lead them to temptation. It is not permissible for a woman to post her picture for men to see. As for a man posting his picture, there is no inherent harm in it, but it is preferable to avoid it.
