The urine of a baby boy is purified by pouring water over it until it is thought that the water has overcome the area of the urine. Certainty is not required to avoid hardship. As for large, fixed carpets, the area of urine on them is purified by pouring water over it and rubbing it with the hand, then absorbing the water with a sponge and repeating this three times.
