We advise you to stay away from waswasah (obsessive whispering) and not pay attention to it. The purification of the ground is done by pouring water over it such that the water is more than the impurity. Some scholars are of the view that the earth and what is connected to it become pure by drying. If you stand on a spot where there was urine after it has been purified, there is no effect from that. If it was before purification, and both the impurity and your shoe were dry, the impurity does not transfer. However, if one of them was wet, the impurity transfers according to many scholars. The transfer of impurity is not ruled except with certainty; doubt and waswasah are not considered. If you are certain that impurity has transferred to a specific spot, it is not obligatory to purify it unless you intend to pray on it. It suffices to place a pure rug over it for prayer.
