What is the ruling on sitting at a table where there is alcohol with non-Muslims due to work circumstances, without drinking?

Allah legislated rulings to bring about benefits and avert harms, and He prohibited what leads to forbidden acts, blocking the means to them. It is not permissible for a Muslim to sit in a place where alcoholic beverages are consumed and where the commands of Allah are disobeyed, whether those present are Muslims or non-Muslims. The Quran has explicitly forbidden sitting with those who mock or disbelieve in the verses of Allah, and the one sitting is judged the same as those he sits with if he does not object to them. The fact that the questioner is a businessman is not an excuse for him to sit with them, due to the harms involved and the violation of Allah's command, and because this may lead to belittling forbidden acts and abandoning zeal for the limits of Allah.
