What is the ruling regarding a father severely beating his adult daughter on her head and body without a convincing reason, leading to her bleeding and her body being bruised, knowing that the father is unjust, disobedient to his mother, does not pray, consumes unlawful wealth, and is not convinced by the noble Hadith or the Holy Quranic verse?

A father must care for and advise his children, in compliance with Allah's command in the verse: "O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire." A man is a guardian and responsible for those under his care, and he must teach them what is lawful and unlawful and keep them away from sins.

If an adult child rebels, the father should advise and admonish him gently. If beating becomes necessary, it is permissible under certain conditions: it should not lead to a greater harm, and it should be light and not inflict injury. Some scholars have permitted beating an adult child for discipline, while others have prohibited it. Violent beating of a son or daughter, especially if without fault, is a forbidden aggression for which the perpetrator incurs sin and guarantees liability for the harm.
