What is the solution to the problem of a wife refusing intimacy due to pain and lack of desire, and her refusal to see a doctor, while the husband fears falling into sin?

A wife's refusal to obey her husband in bed without a valid excuse is a sin that warrants the curse of the angels. Therefore, the wife must fear Allah and cease this behavior. The husband should persistently advise her and remind her of his rights, and investigate the reason for her aversion to the marital bed. It might be due to his neglect of himself or of the etiquettes of intimacy. If the reason is a character flaw that can be remedied, efforts should be made to address it. If it cannot be remedied and the husband cannot endure it, he has the option to divorce her or marry another woman while keeping her. As for the husband's inability to provide for her, the wife is given the choice between remaining with him or separating.
