How can the reconciliation be made between the two hadiths: "The best charity is that given when one is rich" and "To give charity while you are healthy, covetous, hoping for wealth and fearing poverty"?

The best charity is that after which the giver remains self-sufficient. Its estimation is that which leaves behind enough wealth for its owner to depend on for his interests and needs, such that the giver does not become needy of anyone after his charity. It should also be given after fulfilling the rights of oneself and one's family. The charity given during good health, stinginess, fear of poverty, and hope for wealth carries the greatest reward, because stinginess is often dominant in this state. Therefore, being generous with charity in this state is more sincere in intention and greater in reward, unlike someone who has despaired of life and sees his wealth going to others.
