Is it permissible to name someone "Heidi" if its meaning is "noble" or "good" as was famous in a German story?

If it is confirmed that the meaning of the name is good, then there is no objection to naming with it. The basic principle regarding names is permissibility, as long as they do not contain a meaning that contravenes Islamic law. Nevertheless, since the name is foreign, it is better not to name with it, especially if it is a name specifically used by non-Arabs.
