Is it permissible to take money designated for living assistance while traveling and use it to cover personal income taxes, and submit a false expense report?

A Muslim must be truthful and trustworthy; he should neither lie nor betray, for lying and betrayal are sins. Allah Almighty has commanded truthfulness and forbidden betrayal. Truthfulness leads to righteousness and Paradise, while lying leads to wickedness and Hellfire.

If the company gives you a sum of money for your travel expenses and requests a report on it, it is not permissible for you to lie in the report. It is not permissible to transgress against the company's money. This act combines consuming wealth by falsehood, lying, and betrayal.

However, if it is possible to agree with the company on a sum that you receive with the right to dispose of it as you wish, then that is permissible for you.
