What is the remedy for obscenity in speech, or the remedy for obscenity in general?

Immorality (fujoor) is the deviation from the right path, inclining towards sins, expanding in them, and committing every reprehensible act. Immorality in speech manifests as lying and obscenity. The cure for immorality is to seek truthfulness and speak the truth, frequently remember Allah and recite His Book, make sincere repentance, adhere steadfastly to obedience to Allah, associate with good people, reflect on the state of the righteous and emulate them, and distance oneself from what incites unlawful desires. Indeed, occupying oneself with good deeds keeps a person away from immorality.
