Is it permissible for a woman to seek an annulment from her sick husband on the grounds of his bad temper, his inability to provide for her and have intercourse, coupled with her desire to emigrate and marry another man she used to love?

It is recommended to supplicate for the man's righteousness and guidance, and that he be advised to fear Allah and repent from abandoning prayer and fasting. Efforts should be made to help him, and he should treat his wife with kindness.

If his condition does not improve, it is desirable for the wife to seek divorce from him, especially if he persists in abandoning prayer and fasting.

If the wife is in an unlawful relationship, she must repent to Allah and sever the relationship.

If a divorce occurs and the waiting period (iddah) expires, it is permissible for the wife to marry again under Islamic conditions (a guardian, witnesses, and a mahram for travel).

The children must assist their mother in good deeds and advise her gently and kindly if she does something displeasing to Allah.
