If the wife insists on abandoning prayer and fasting and committing forbidden acts, and does not adhere to Islam after entering it, then it is obligatory to separate from her, because this is considered disbelief (kufr) and apostasy from the religion. Allah Almighty says: (But if they separate [by divorce], Allah will enrich each of them from His abundance).
