The majority of scholars hold that expiation for an oath is not sufficient for fewer than ten needy persons, and the sufficient amount for feeding is one mudd (approximately 750 grams) for each needy person. Some scholars are of the opinion that it is one mudd of wheat and two mudds of other types of food (approximately one and a half kilograms of rice), which is more cautious. It is permissible to give more than the obligatory amount. As for retrieving the expiations paid to one person for himself and his wife only, you are entitled to retrieve two expiations from him, provided they are still in his possession, and that you had clarified to him at the time of payment that it was expiation for an oath.
