How authentic is the Hadith of the Boasting Contest between Amir al-Mu'minin and Sayyidah al-Zahra?

This story is fabricated and spurious, and every person of sound disposition knows its falsehood. It has been mentioned in the books of some deviant sects that exaggerate the status of the Family of the Prophet (Ahl al-Bayt). It is well-known that this sect is among the most mendacious of sects, and that they practice lying and falsehood as part of their religion. The people of knowledge have agreed that the Rafidah (a derogatory term for a specific Shia sect) are the most mendacious of sects, and lying has been prevalent among them since ancient times.
