What is the ruling on saying "thank you to life" or "thank you"?

Whoever is grateful for life, let him thank Allah, its Giver, the Most Glorified, the Most High, and not life itself, for life is a gift from Allah and not the giver. Allah Almighty said: "And Allah brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers while you knew nothing; and He made for you hearing and sight and hearts, that perhaps you would be grateful" (An-Nahl: 78).
