What is the legal ruling regarding not making up the first Ramadan fast, despite being able to fast the second Ramadan, but then becoming unable to make up the overdue days due to severe low blood pressure and exhaustion, and being unable to feed the poor or continue treatment?

The imams have unanimously agreed on the obligation to make up for the days missed in Ramadan before the arrival of the next Ramadan, based on the hadith of Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her. Whoever delays making up for them due to a valid excuse is not sinful and is only required to make them up. However, whoever delays them without a valid excuse is sinful and must make them up, and is not required to feed the poor, according to the preponderant opinion. If fasting becomes impossible due to a continuous illness that prevents future fasting—as certified by a trustworthy doctor—then there is no fasting, and one must feed a poor person for each day. If there is no money, the expiation (fidyah) is waived.
