What is the ruling on fasting the days missed in Ramadan due to menstruation, knowing that they were already made up on time, and the questioner desires to re-fast them after repentance? And what is the ruling on paying expiation for them, given the inability to fast due to illness? And is it permissible to feed the needy with various types of food instead of only rice?

What is lawfully required from one who broke their fast in Ramadan is to make up the missed days, as per the words of Allah Almighty: "Then a number of other days." Making up more than the number of missed days is not prescribed and may be closer to innovation (bid'ah). Therefore, it is not prescribed for you to repeat making up the days that you already made up correctly, and your intention to repeat making them up is not considered a vow. We advise you to fear Allah, renew your repentance, and increase in remembrance of Allah (dhikr) and supplication (du'a).
