What is the ruling on one who prays, fasts, honors his parents, and gives charity, but cannot lower his gaze despite his attempts? And are his other deeds nullified?

Lowering the gaze from unlawful things is a religious obligation, and a servant must strive to achieve it and avoid places that contain unlawful sights. If a relapse occurs, one should sincerely repent and renew their resolve, for Allah forgives the sin of whoever repents. We hope that Allah accepts from the servant their obligatory duties and righteous deeds in which they were sincere to Allah, and that these are not nullified due to the self being overcome and falling into sins, as mentioned in the Hadith about people who come with good deeds like mountains, but Allah makes them like scattered dust, and these are those who violate the prohibitions of Allah when they are alone.
